The moved into meagre and improvised quarters above the soda pop works, and at the end of a year Pop was confronted with the loss of his business, his new franchise, his new wife and new baby - and Bertha's new piano. Pop acquires additional Solo Soda franchises in time, and in a few years he comes to the realization that he is actually a millionaire - but not until a million dollars is spread out in front of him at the directors' room of the bank and he and his family count it.
