Ace Double D-69. I believe this is the first paperback printing of Daybreak and the first printing in book form of Beyond Earth's Gates. Paper torn from spine for 2" at top, extending to bottom left corner of 'Beyond' cover. Spine is somewhat scuffed, there is some edge wear, bumping, and reading creases to covers. Someone appears to have taken a pin and pricked the 'Daybreak' cover once and 'Beyond' cover half a dozen times making small holes, three of which extend into the text block. Owner's name inside both covers, pages browned but otherwise clean and unmarked.
"It is 200 years after the destruction when Fors sets off to explore the empty lands to the north. He is a member of a clan which concerns itself with recapturing the knowledge and skills of their ancestors. By adding to that knowledge, Fors hopes to win a place as one of the leaders of his clan.
The imaginative descriptions of deserted cities, ruined highways, subhuman Beast Things all serve as a backdrop to Fors' dangerous adventure. . ." Denver Post
