Primarily a reading copy. Spine strip is gone, bottom third of backstrip missing and front board detached from spine along that length. Edge wear and chipping, esp. to corners. Some random markings to cover, likely with Magic Marker. Text block a little loose, but the pages are clean and unmarked. No other printings listed on copyright page, but it does not say "First printed in 1953', so probably not first, but does appear to be an early printing.
"You see, I was sitting here, resting my legs/And I happened to pick up a couple of eggs/And I sort of got thinking-it's sort of a shame/That scrambled eggs always taste always the same." So begins the tale of Peter T. Hooper and his quest for the rarest and most amazing eggs that will make up "Scrambled Eggs Super-Dee-Dooper-dee-Booper, Special de luxe a-la-Peter T. Hooper."
