This was a school textbook rather than ex-library, with a pupil signup sheet pasted inside cover. Corners are bumped with a fair amount of edge wear, chipping, and scurffing to boards. Some fading. Pages show some foxing and soiling. Pages 9 and 69 have pieces torn out that include some text, otherwise I would grade it about Good -. Some other small tears to a few pages, but they don't affect the text.
Originally published in 1930, this is a charming first-grade reading primer from 1940 with lovely color illustrations of the period. Chapter titles range from "Bubbles" to "Painting the Playhouse."
