Brown half-cloth boards with title in gilt stamped on spine. Front board has gilt stamped design of a red eye circled by red runes and topped by gold ring. Corners slightly bumped, slight edge wear, binding fairly tight. Jacket has a little edge wear and rubbing, with a couple small closed tears. An attractive copy. "In the First Part of The Lord of the Rings, 111-year-old Bilbo Baggins passed along his magical ring to his orphaned nephew, Frodo - unwittingly setting its original owner, the horrible Gollum, on his trail. "The Fellowship was scattered. Some were bracing hopelessly for war against the ancient evil of Sauron. Some were contending with the treachery of the wizard Saruman.
