Spine a bit slanted, corners bumped and chipped, minor edge wear, chipping. A little rubbing, owner's name inside cover. Edges darkened but text appears clean and unmarked. Front pastedown has relief map of Haiti, while rear has one of the Eastern Mediterranean.

Black cloth with gold lettering, 488 pp. plus list of sources and several pages of ads for other Kenneth Roberts books. Lydia Bailey was first published in 1947 and this copy appears to be an early reprint from the same year. Spine slanted, corners a bit chipping, some edge wear with a bit of chipping, soiling, front board pulling away at half title page with the webbing visible. Some darkening but text is unmarked. A solid reading copy. Front pastedown has relief map of Haiti, while rear has one of the Eastern Mediterranean.

First trade printing (after limited edition of one thousand). Spine cocked and somewhat sunned, moderate edge wear and rubbing, owner's name on title page, end paper separated from text across from title page exposing webbing. Some tanning and a little spotting, but text is clean and unmarked. A good reading copy.
