1 Beatty, Jerome Jr. Matthew Looney's Invasion of the Earth (Matthew Looney Series #2)
New York William R. Scott, Inc. 1965 First Edition Pictorial Cover Very Good in Good+ dust jacket
Illustrated by Wilson, Gahan

Spine slightly slanted, corners bumped, a little darkening to boards and top edge. Jacket has 4" tear along rear hinge, with a narrow strip about 2 1/2" missing and a flap exposing some of the spine. Some edge wear and a little chipping at corners. Reinforced binding but this is Not a library book. No markings inside book. Binding is tight. An attractive copy.

Sequel to "Matthew Looney's Voyage to the Earth," I believe this is the fifth in the series.
"Once again those intrepid explorers from the Moon, Matthew Looney and his uncle, Lockhard Looney . . . bravely leave the security of their beloved Moon to journey to that mysterious planet, Earth. Why do they make another such trip? Because Professor Ploozer has proved beyond doubt that the mysterious projectiles landing on the Moon are being fired from the Earth. . ."
B/W drawings throughout in Gahan Wilson's trademark style.
