1 Dain, Alex & Tubb, E. C. The Bane of Kanthos / Kalin (Ace Double #42800)
New York Ace Books 1969 First Edition Mass Market Paperback Very Good-
Illustrated by Morrow, Gray [cover]; Schoenherr, John [cover]

Ace Double #42800; The Bane of Kanthos 124 pp., Kalin 131 pp. This is the first publication for both these novels ("Kalin," # 4 in the Dumarest series, was subsequently reissued several times in other editions). Spine slightly slanted, single reading crease at each hinge, very minor edgewear. Text starting to yellow, but clean and unmarked. A nice copy.

The Bane of Kanthos: "Far from the bloody fields of Anzor, high in the Dark Tower of the Masters, the man who was now known as Rocar stood feeling the inky onslaught of the Shadow against his mind. And as he felt the first touch of Darkness, fear came at last to him. But now Rocar fought as he had never before - mentally not physically. The Bane of Kanthos would not conquer him . . . not while a kingdom depended upon him as their sole champion."
Kalin: "The strange girl, Kalin, could visualize the terrors that were to come. Dumarest realized her mysterious talent and tried his best to utilize it to stave off those future disasters. Together the two had managed thus to survive Bloodtime on Logis, catastrophe in space, and the specter of enslavement on desolate Chron. But always her image of the future drew closer and always her visions grew chillingly sharper."; 6" - 7" Tall
