451 pp. The Cavalier Limited Edition (a first edition) signed by the author. Dark blue boards with gold lettering. Spine somewhat slanted, small spot on front board. Front and back pastedowns show the James and York Rivers at the Chesapeake Bay with the five main characters of the book: Nicholas, Bennett, Kathryn, Richard and Sibyl. PO name on free endpaper, DJ in protective Brodart plastic wrap. DJ has 4" tear at back of spine, chipping along edges, and some small tear mended with tape. Text is clean and unmarked.
