"Jaibriol ruled the Eubian Concord: over two trillion people across more than a thousand worlds and habitats. Kelric ruled the Skolian Imperialate. War had come before - ten years ago, Jaibriol had lost his parents in the final battle of the Radiance War between the Concord and the Imperialate - and it might come again, devastating vast swathes of the galaxy.
"Neither Jaibriol nor Kelric wanted war, but neither was complete master of his realm. And each hid a secret that, if revealed, might be his downfall.
Jaibriol was a secret psion, with telepathic abilities, and to be a psion in the Eubian Concord was to be a contemptible slave . . . Kelric, years ago, had disappeared for nearly two decades. He had been a prisoner and slave on the planet Coban -- if the Skolian Imperialate knew of his captivity, there would be demands for vengeance . . .
"Neither man knew how much longer he could keep his secret - nor how much longer they could hold back the threat of a war that could incinerate hundreds of inhabited worlds. "; 7¾" - 9¾" Tall; Signed by Author

"Elijah Baley had never had a tougher assignment. One of New York's ablest plainclothes detectives, he had been sent to the planet Solaria to investigate a murder and also to uncover the weakness in Solarian society that would be Earth's weapon on the inevitable day when the Solarians attacked. The hardest part was just being on Solaria: to an Earthman, brought up in the underground Cities, there was nothing more horrifying than empty space under the naked sun. Baley needed help desperately - and got it in the 'person' of R. Daneel Olivaw, a fantastically advanced and complex robot. Together they pitched into the thorny job of tracking down a murderer in a community where social transactions were carried on by means of television viewing. (Solarians accepted nudity as proper, but shrank in horror from the idea of actually 'seeing' one another under any circumstances.) As the teammates frantically narrowed down the number of suspects, Baley fought his terror and groped for Earth's salvation."; 7¾" - 9¾" Tall

"Grianne Ohmsford, rightful High Druid of Shannara, has been banished to the harsh mirror-world of the Forbidding. Her only hope for rescue is her nephew Penderrin - but Pen is under siege as well. Both he and his parents are sought by the treacherous druid who took Grianne's place and who wants to make sure their magic will never help her return.
"Eluding death is only half the battle for Pen. To breach the Forbidding and bring Grianne back to the natural world means finding the fabled Tanequil, and the talisman it alone can provide. That means journeying into the Inkrim - a dreaded region thick with shadows and haunted by harrowing legends. It also means striking a bargain more severe than Pen could ever imagine.
"And there is a third threat. No one but Grianne is aware that her entry into the Forbidding allowed something dark to escape. A fearsome force long ago exiled has been let back into Grianne's world. She knows that this creature - which can bend itself to any shape, and can kill at will - may be only the vanguard of a much greater, devastating invasion. "; 7¾" - 9¾" Tall; Signed by Author

It helps that the town is presided over by Daisy Johanssen, who as Hel's liaison is authorized by the Norse goddess of the dead to keep Pemkowet under control. Normally, that's easier to do in the winter, when bracing temperatures keep folks indoors. But a new predator is on the prowl, and this one thrives on nightmares. Daisy is on her trail and working intimately with her partner and sometime lover from the Pemkowet PD, sexy yet unavailable werewolf Cody Fairfax. But even as the creature is racking up innocent victims, a greater danger looms on Pemkowet's horizon. As a result of a recent ghost uprising, an unknown adversary-represented by a hell-spawn lawyer with fiery powers of persuasion-has instigated a lawsuit against the town. If Pemkowet loses, Hel's sovereignty will be jeopardized, and the fate of the eldritch community will be at stake. The only one who can prevent it is Daisy-but she's going to have to confront her own worst nightmare to do it."
